What exactly is the Enduropale?

The Touquet Enduro is one of the biggest sporting events in the Hauts-de-France region. On the Opal Coast, the Enduropale motorbike race brings together riders, motorsport enthusiasts and curious visitors alike.

The race was born from the wish of Thierry Sabine, press officer for the town of Le Touquet, to bring the legendary races held in the United States to France. At the first edition, 286 competitors took part. Today, no fewer than a thousand riders are expected on the start line.

• The Enduropale On the beaches of Le Touquet-Paris-Plage and Stella-Plage, a frantic motocross race over thirteen kilometres. Numerous obstacles are built to make the course tougher.
• The Quaduro The same event, for quad bikes only.
• The Enduropale Juniors Riders aged 13 to 17 compete over a 3.5-kilometre circuit.
• The Enduropale Espoirs The same course as the Juniors, for riders aged 11 to 15.
• The Enduro Vintage Since 2015, a race for motorbikes built before 1996: 6.7 kilometres along the seafront. It has won over a wide audience.

Who are the favourites?

After a 50th edition dominated from start to finish by Todd Kellett, here are the riders expected to fight it out for the win.

• Todd Kellett The Briton is the overwhelming favourite. Winner in 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026, he has matched Jean-Claude Moussé's four wins and will be going for a fifth consecutive victory. A true metronome on the sand, he remains the man to beat.
• Cyril Genot The Belgian rider finished second in 2026, less than two minutes behind Kellett, after a strong comeback. He is today the most serious challenger.
• Milko Potisek The local hero, third in 2026, remains one of the most experienced riders in beach racing. Carried by the home crowd, he dreams of one last great feat.
• Lars Van Berkel The Dutchman, fourth in 2026, is a regular in beach races and a frequent contender for the top spots.
• Hakon Fredriksen The Norwegian, fifth in 2026, gets stronger every year.
• Camille Chapelière The Frenchman, seventh in 2026, knows the race inside out and remains capable of a podium finish.

Highlights from the history of the Enduropale

• In 1986, the Dutchman Kees Van der Ven wins for the fifth year running.
• In 2011, the circuit switches direction.
• In 2015, the Touquet Enduro turns 40 and introduces the Enduro Vintage.
• In 2016, the event is marred by multiple accidents: sixteen riders injured, two seriously, and one Quaduro competitor killed.
• In 2022, a quad bike running off the track injures three people.
• In 2026, the 50th edition crowns Todd Kellett for the fourth year running, in rain and snow. The Briton matches Jean-Claude Moussé's record of four wins.

How can you watch the races?

Along the seafront of Le Touquet-Paris-Plage and Stella-Plage, viewing areas let you catch every moment of the different races.

There are also ways to follow the races from further afield: several TV and radio stations broadcast them live.

• France 3 The Enduro is broadcast live on France 3 Hauts-de-France, France 3 Normandie and France 3 NoA. France Bleu Nord and France Bleu Picardie broadcast the races simultaneously.
• L'Équipe The weekend's races can be followed on the platform, with a repeat broadcast on the channel.
• Automoto Official broadcaster of the race, with five hours of live coverage and a special programme.
• Radio 6 All five races live over the three days, with interviews, commentary and reports from the team.

How to get to the Touquet Enduro

By car, take the A16, exit 26 Étaples-Le Touquet-Paris-Plage. The Enduropale team encourages car-sharing: every year, the event's Facebook page puts visitors in touch with each other.

By train from Paris, take the Gare du Nord — Le Touquet-Paris-Plage line and get off at Étaples-sur-Mer: it is then a ten-minute drive to the event. On site: taxi, bus (lines 1A and 1B) or one of the shuttles laid on for the occasion.

Where to park

Over the three days, the airport's 4,700-space car park is available. It is paid parking: €10 a day for a car, €30 a day for a coach. Be sure to park where directed, as access to Le Touquet can be restricted when it gets busy.

For motorhomes, several reception areas are open: the Canche bay watersports centre area, part of boulevard Thierry-Sabine, avenue Belle-Dune, boulevard d'Artois, avenue Sanguet and the Atlantique district. Expect a flat rate of €50 for three days.

For motorbikes, a reception area is set up right on the seafront, signposted on site.

Where to stay and eat over the weekend

To stay locally, hotel, guesthouse or campsite: Le Touquet-Paris-Plage has plenty of choice. Book early, as the Enduro weekend fills the town.

For food, stalls are set up at the event: sandwiches, kebabs, chips and a few sweet treats. In town, booking well ahead is essential.
